Have you already heard about our network adapter with OTAR overload protection, the LAN Port Protector? It automatically unlocks the RJ45 connector on your ethernet cable. OTAR stands for Over Tension Automatic Release. If a defined limit of tensile and lateral forces is exceeded, the protective mechanism takes effect and saves your RJ45 plug or circuit board from damage. This happens, for example, when mobile devices are unintentionally moved in a larger range than the connected cable allows or people trip over connected patch cables. Although the LAN Port Protector does not replace a network isolator and does not offer overvoltage protection between the network and the connected end device, it does ensure that your equipment can be used for longer.
